This picture has nothing to do with what I wrote in this post but I think it so beautiful!

I tackled Mt. Laundry again today. I can't wait till I'm at the point where when I start to climb Mt. Laundry it suddenly does not seem like such a big task. Will I ever get there? I hope so.
It is very windy outside...but it is not really cold just WINDY and RAINY! We keep having little brown-outs now and then.
Tomorrow our friends are having a pumpkin blow at their place...I hope we can go!
Well that's about all for today... So... dobranoc! قبل النوم! welterusten! शुभ रात्रि! Лека нощ! Hyvää yötä sitten! buona notte allora!noapte buna, atunci! 然后晚安! bonne nuit alors! 良い夜を! Just for Today

Today for dinner I made a really delectable soup! It was a veggie soup, but I used the chicken broth and bits of meat from the bones of the chickens I cooked up the other day. To go with the soup I made Sarah's dinner rolls. To get the dinner roll recipe, you can click HERE!
The weather ended up being really nice today and I was outside as much as I was able to.
Well...I don't really have much more to say so...BYE!

What I did today:
Today, for dinner I took all the legs, wings, and thighs, from the chickens I de-boned yesterday and I marinated them then I seared them then baked them with the drippings and leftover marinade.
Nathanael helped me cook up some squash to go with the chicken. All of it was very yummy!
We had lots of sunshine today and it was warmer too. I had lots of fun playing outside with Enoch and Nathanael. We raked/blowed leaves and played a couple games of barnyard soccer. They won one game and I won the other!
Here are some pictures and such...

We named this little goat Autumn... Thank-you Mary Cecilia for the suggestion!
The Apples On The Trees Were So Pretty Today In The Sunshine!
My brother reading "Little Men".
The leaves are steadily falling. These are one of the few left on this particular tree.
This is what I did quite a few times today. I was enjoying the sunshine while it was here... tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy and rain is in the forecast. :(

Until next time...

On Saturday, we stopped by a little country consignment shop in our area. Daddy and Mama bought me an Asian cookbook. Today for dinner, I planed a seven coarse meal...but it ended up being a six coarse meal because I let Nathanael make baked apples in stead of the caramelized Apple Rings that I was going to make (one last dish for me to make hee hee! and Nathanael loves to make baked apples)! The meal is all I did today...in the morning I planed out what I was going to make, then I did all the prep work...as soon as the prep work was done, I had a 30 minute span to walk my favorite goat in the woods...and then I came in and made the dinner...Grace was a tremendous help during the cooking time...and Enoch and Nathanael had fun making little garnishes and such! The meal consisted of... Chicken with Lemon Sauce, Egg Drop Soup, Spicy Fish Fritters (and tarter sauce), Stir-Fried Cabbage, Egg Fried Rice, Baby Ginger Rösti with Chili Bouquets, and then of course...there is Nathanael's delectable baked apples (at least I think they will be delectable...we have not eaten them yet they are still baking :)!
You can figure out which is which in these next pictures...

I'll have to post the recipes when I am a little less tuckered out!

This is what I wore on my coat when I walked the goat...

This is what it says:
DOG WANTED
MUST FIT THESE DESCRIPTIONS:
~must not howl only bark when it must
~ has to be brown and/or brindled
~Friendly, yet protective, sheep herder, coyote scarer
~Big, Huge,Large
~Floppy ears (not pointed. ugh.)
~White paws (or at least 1 white paw)
~has to be a puppy
~not jumpy
~Indoor/outdoor dog
~Does not need to be chained

This is the dog I miss...

Dear good Prince got hit on the road this past January...I miss having a dog around...well, we do have dogs around, our neighbors dogs (actually they are Prince's boys!) but, Boo Boo and Nugget (that's their names) have more traits from their mother, who was mean and very howlly than they do from their father who was just the opposite!
So, I hope we can get a puppy soon...!

God is in every tomorrow,

Therefore I live for today,

Certain of finding at sunrise,

Guidance and strength for my way;

Power for each moment of weakness,

Hope for each moment of pain,

Comfort for every sorrow,

Sunshine and joy after rain.

My Day

Today I did major cleanin' in Nathanael's bedroom. I ripped up the carpet because it was looking really bad in there. Nathanael and everyone else thinks that the wood flooring underneath looks alot better than the carpet! I want to eventually re-paint his bedroom (and mine too!) soon. I am sort of on a cleaning frenzy. First my room, now his, next I'll do some deep cleaning on the hallway. It is so fun to make everything all "frilly white, and clean-o(as Mrs. Tiggywinkle would say)!!!
Well, I really do not want to stay up any much later so I'll sign off.
Until next time...

Cider Party!

This is yesterday's post. I could not publish it yesterday, because right when I was in the middle of uploading photos the power went out. David was out hunting when the power went out. He said the power-lines were making strange noises and then he heard the circuit breakers going KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM! I could hear them even here at the house but I thought it was someone target shooting! Mama was just starting to heat up oil for frying donuts and then she could not because we have an electric stove. We thought about frying them on the wood stove, but it was not hot enough yet. So, we all went over to Zach's and fried them there.

A lone tree...
We had a nice time at our friends 7th annual cider party. I took pictures...I hope you enjoy them!
They have a system that they do every year. The first person fills up buckets of apples from the crates...

Then the apples are carried in where there is an assembly line of people rinsing off the apples...
The chopper...
I never got a picture the actual pressing part, but you can see the press in this picture, and....
...in this one:
All the children had lots of fun. They especially liked this fort...
A few of them made a little straw house...
The Apple Sling Shot was a big hit...
Here is a little video I took of the slingshot...
G. and her cousin playing under the porch (it was rainy)...
Look way out there in the field and you will see hay wagon full of people on it for the hayride...
You can see it better in this picture. The tractor pulling it is a really nice old one that starts by turning the flywheel(I think that is what it is called???)...
I thought this spud gun is pretty neat (I thought they were going to shoot off apples, but I found out that the spud gun is not finished yet)...
S. was my friend yesterday. And a fun little friend she is!
These next 6 pictures I took because I thought you, Cora would really think they were neat!
You'd never think this was a cake would you?
Yep, these three are too...
A bushel of apples. I was told that the cake weighed more than a regular bushel of apples. WOW!
Every thing on this one is edible except the wire on the handle...
A little cider jug...
This one here is just a sheet cake. But the decorations are still really nice...
The big apple cake (it actually was carrot cake:) had 8 layers. When I made a three layer cake for Daddy's b-day last year I thought that was hard. I don't know if I could ever do a eight layer cake! All those cakes were made by a lady that lives right near our friends who had the cider party. She has alot of talent doesn't she?
This is one of the little apple banks that they gave out to people when they left...
On the way home, we stopped at Junque & Necessities and Enoch got a pair of boots...

Well, that's all folks! I hope you did not mind the lots of pictures!

Until next time...
