House Cleaning...

Today I did major cleaning in my bedroom. I scrubbed the walls and ceiling and killed all the spiders. I still want to do some more on it and get it "spick 'n' span".

First I cleared everything out of my room...
Me and Grace share a room but a while back we divided it to the 1/8 of an inch so that way we each can have our "own room". This is the divider mark...

After clearing my room I scrubbed scrubbed, scrubbed!

Waiting for their quarters to be cleaned. The tallest doll is Grace's but her's had a sleep-over with my dolls... :)

Here is a story for you...
Today the house was quite messy. Mama wanted to do the "whiz" as she calls it...which is basically a through and through tidy-up. Mama was working on dinner prep. and Daddy was cleaning out our grinder, Mama asked him: "based on your emotions on a scale from 1-10 how do you feel about the house all messy?" Daddy said that right then he'd give it a 1 (meaning it did not really matter) but if he was ruffled about something he might give it a 10! Just then, Nathanael walked into the house and pulled back the rug to show Mama the dust under it. "Oh Nathanael you should flip that rug back!" Mama said but Nathanael had already went out the door and never heard mama say that! So, the rug was stayed flipped up...the dust un-hidden. So,Mama was working on the meal, Grace was washing dishes, and I was hanging laundry on the line. Just then a red astro pulled up the drive. There were 4 people in the van. "Well," Mama said, "maybe they all can come in here and help me clean my house"! Mama sometimes says that when the house is messy and someone comes unexpectedly.
The guy comes up to the house and Daddy meets him at the door. Next, the man follows Daddy into the house! At this point Grace embarrassed (sort of) about the house and kitchen all in a tither, rushed out to the clothes line and told me what was going on. I went up to the house with her. The man was demonstrating an "air freshener"(I don't know how fresh it makes the air because it has LOTS of chemicals in it!). Then the guy came out again and came back with another man. They both were lugging some boxes into our house! Finally we went into the house to see what it was all about. They were advertising the newest of newest Kerby vacuum cleaner. For about an 2 hours they demonstrated all the attachments. They washed our rug (that was still flipped up dust showing), they vacuumed our couches, they cleaned up around the bird cage, sucked up the spiders and webs, and vacuumed the stairs. It is an impressive machine:a0ba49a5209caf33cc866b583c30714e_83588467731243496217.jpg
But, it is also very expensive. The people did a good job advertising but we did not think we should get the vacuum at this point. We sent them home with some comb honey. Isn't amazing the way God works? They actually CLEANED our house! And what did Mama say when they pulled up? Oh it is just so...funny! We can't stop laughing about how perfect strangers came into our house and cleaned it! Oh my!

Tomorrow me and Grace are going over to our older sister's to help her make Sauerkraut.

Until next time...

That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny, Hannah!!!!!!! Maybe we need to say your mama's words the next time we get company--in hopes of them being vacume cleaner salesmen too? :) I just love how God sends unexpected humor into our days!

What a great story. I'm glad that you could see God's blessing through salespeople. Too often we see them as nuisances, not as people God could have sent to help us.
