If all goes as planed, this will be my LAST post with pictures from our junk of a camera =D!

This is a picture post. My sister spent the day with us, and as always I had a load of fun with my nephews. Buddy was my companion today and Izzy was more with Grace.
Bud and I made burger buns together it was so much fun doing all the pats and folds with him.
First we mixed up the ingredients and we set the timer for ten minuets "1, 2, 3 . . .10" and then we gave each other a hi five with both hands. When the timer went of Jeremiah would go "Oh aba (I don't know why he calls me that :D sometimes he says Nana) DING! Me? Dough?" And then we would do the pat and folds together. We did that for awhile until the dough was developed and then we shaped them. That was really fun. I finally had to let him know that he could have one ball of dough to call his own, because he kept destroying the gluten sheet by poking and picking at the dough. He was so excited when we finally baked them and he kept saying "My dough, me!!" And then of course he had to bring a couple buns home to Dad too.
He will be the perfect little guy for us to hire in the bakery. He has loved working with dough ever since he was really little!

Smash. Don't worry, this was his piece of dough!

Many hands make work light, Little hands make work fun!

Then we started getting kind of silly,
Here we are saying "Dough!"

"Cheese!" "Cheesh!"

Pig noses!

Google Eyes!

I heart little feet!

Making a snowman with a couple of his Uncles.

Izzy pictures! They speak louder than words.

I heart little hands!

"Live today like it's the only day you had, before you come to realize another one has passed. Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and only what we do for God will last. Live today like it's the only day you had. The days of man of few and full of trouble, this life just like a vapor soon will end. The promise of tomorrow was not given, and perhaps we'll never have this chance again. Live today like it's the only day you had."

Ah, Is This Not Happiness?

I had to make dinner tonight and did not know what to do. Nathanael was making a little car or some kind of contraption with his fisher-techniks and I was reading. When asked what I was going to make for dinner and I said I did not know, Nathanael said, "We are having sausage gravy over biscuits!" "Who said?" I asked. "I did!" He replied, "You make the gravy and I'll make the biscuits! Don't I just have the best ideas?"
"Yes, you do! That sounds really good. Come-on lets get started!!!" I love working in the kitchen with Nathanael it is so fun! Well, I'd best be off to check on the sausage browning in the pan!
I got the camera to turn on for me and now here are a few pictures of our kitchen time together:

A rather haphazard picture of me cooking in a rather large stock pot!!
Nathanael mixing up the biscuits. . .

"I've got alot of dough on my hands!"

Okay, there were some super silly ones (really super silly) but I did
not post them!!
Oh yes, we even took a hilarious little video, but it was pretty full of
inside jokes that
would not really make a whole lot of sense! I hope you enjoyed the
pictures I did post.
And I hope to be taking more soon!

Night Night!

I just mailed a beautiful money order at the post office =D! I should be camera happy before too long!! I am thinking of starting up a photography blog (you know the kind where the pictures are bigger than on a regular blog.) Which reminds me, I need to know how to make pictures on my blog so you can't click on them, or so that way they are smaller if you do click on them. Can anybody help me? When I post images and click on them they are huge, and this is taking up alot of room on my Picasa Web Album. If you know how to do this, could you explain it to me? I'd really appreciate it.

When we were out today, we picked up three more books to the "Corrie Bell Hollister" series that I requested at the little library near us. I am already reading one (book 4). It is so interesting, that it is hard to take breaks to do other things that need to be done! But if I get those other things done quickly, the more time I have to read!
Pictures to come,
***I just added another great giveaway in my giveaway page. the link is right under my header.***

Wonderful News!

Yes! It is confirmed! I am getting a camera! To say the least, I am very excited!

About a week ago, I found this camera on craigslist it looked nice and seemed like a good camera.

So, I contacted the seller and researched the camera. It is a Canon PowerShot S3 IS (I already memorized that whole thing =). It is three years old, but in like-new condition. It comes with two sd cards (2 gig and 1 gig :), a case, and the manuals, cables, and software. I thought all of that for the price it is was a great deal. I liked everything I read about the camera and I told the owner I wanted to purchase it!!! I don't have it yet, he is going to send it to me since we live a couple hours south of where he lives. Oh, and another really exciting thing is that it is a full-fledged video camera too. Not just a camera with a video option like the camera we have now. It can also take movies and images at the same time =D! And it has a 12 power optical zoom, which I thought was pretty good. So, can you tell I am super happy! =D

But wait, there is more wonderful news to this post! My friend Rachel Grace who I met over blogger, and who is also my pen pal, is having a giveaway in honor of opening her etsy shop! I have more info on my page "Giveaways Going On" which is just under my header. I would encourage you to go and enter her giveaway and take a look at her etsy shop (the link is on her blog). The homemade handbag she is giving away is very sweet and she has some other wonderful handmade items on her etsy! Congratulations Rachel!

Amazing Grace

I recorded Mama, Grace and David last night when they were playing Amazing Grace. I did not start recording until they were almost done though. I made a short video with them playing and some random pictures. I might make a better one sometime that I can share.
David just finished his Bodhran yesterday, and he made the tipper today so in the video it sounds a little different because he is using his hand.

YAHOO!!!

I think I am going to get a camera very soon!

Also, please check out something new that I have on my blog. Under my header is links to other pages on my blog. One of them says: Giveaways Going On. This is where I will be posting about current giveaways. I just added a new one tonight.

XOXO,

Snow-forts and Nephews

Below are some pictures of my dear little nephews and also a snow fort my brothers are making. Grace and I babysat them yesterday from morning to evening. It was fun and exhausting. Buddy is a big time talker and by the end of the day I had a headache, but believe me, it was well worth it!

Little Izzy, so sweet. He is crawling all over the place and learning to talk at the same time. He can say "Hi, HI-5, and Dad!" He and Buddy greet each other after their naps with an outstretched hand and a "Hi-5!"

Here is Buddy trying to shoot a squirrel that was "none" (hiding in a hole of the tree). How he could shoot it with a toy gun that has battery powered sound, I don't know- he never found out if he could either. I guess his sweet little penguin hat and bright red mitten did not camouflage too well with his surroundings!

Him and I made a snowman together. It was fun!

Here are the fort pictures. My brothers already built a fire in it. They still have to do the roof.

They brought our little bunnies out on their fort today. It was sunny and relatively warm- the bunnies seemed to enjoy it!

How far can you see on a clear day?

The correct answer to the questions in my previous post is 93 million miles.
Because on a clear day we can see the sun. . . right?

Those are the kind of jokes I like !!

Mercy Came Running

Once there was a holy place

Evidence of God's embrace

And I can almost see mercy's face

Pressed against the veil

Looking down with longing eyes

Mercy must have realized

That once His blood was sacrificed

Freedom would prevail

And as the sky grew dark

And the earth began to shake

With justice no longer in the way

Chorus:

Mercy came running

Like a prisoner set free

Past all my failures to the point of my need

When the sin that I carried

Was all I could see

And when I could not reach mercy

Mercy came running to me

Once there was a broken heart

Way to human from the start

And all the years left it torn apart

Hopeless and afraid

Walls I never meant to build

Left this prisoner unfulfilled

Freedom called but even still

It seemed so far away

I was bound by the chains

From the wages of my sin

Just when I felt like giving in

repeat chorus

Sometimes I still feel so far

So far from where I really should be

He gently calls to my heart

Just to remind me

repeat chorus

"The Heavens are telling a story. . .

. . .It's the story of the glory of God!"

Last night, we went to a church building that is in our area. They were having an Astronomy Night. We watched a dvd on all the planets and stars. It is so amazing the way everything is up there! It almost is baffling to think about!
Here is a couple questions they asked us there. You write your answers in a comment and I'll post the correct answers in a day or two.

Question 1: "How far do you think you can see with your naked eye on a clear day?"
Question 2: "How far do you think a sailor can see with his naked eye on a clear day out in the sea?"

Can't wait to see what you guess!

Today Mama and us children were looking on craigslist at various things.
Someone just posted a dog on there today and we are waiting to hear back from them to see if she is still available and we are waiting for Daddy to get back from town so we can tell him about it. Waiting can be hard sometimes :)!
Here is what they wrote about her:

Erica is collie and cattle dog. She loves to protect livestock and especially sheep. VERY VERY smart dog. Used to having the run of our property. She can even open the lever type doors!!! Wants to be right by your side all the time. She does NOT like other female dogs. She is an alpha female....3 yrs old and not fixed. LOVES to run with the 4-wheeler and will stay right with you no matter what!!!!

I think she is cute, do you?
We don't like to name our animals people names, so if we get do get her we want to change her name.
Grace thought of changing it to Eureka which is an exclamation that means "a cry of joy or satisfaction when one finds or discovers something"

A great book!

Tonight Daddy just finished a book by George MacDonald that he has been reading aloud to us.

I think it is great book and I would suggest it to anyone. It makes a good read-aloud book.

The title is "The Highlander's Last Song" and it is by George MacDonald edited by Michael Phillips. The original book title before Michael Phillips edited it, is "What's Mine's Mine".
