Good morning to you!

Me and Grace both did the milking this morning. And then we both made breakfast. I made biscuits, Grace fried up our homemade canadian bacon and soft boiled some eggs, David cut up some watermelon, and altogether it was a yummy breakfast!

Biscuits

Pre heat oven to 450 and the oven racks should be set one on the lowest and one on the second to the top.

2 cups flour
1 T. powder
1 t. salt
1/2 t. soda
1/3 cup cold butter or lard cubed into 1/2 inch cubes
2/3 to 1 cup yogurt or buttermilk
melted butter for brushing (optional)

For the flakiest biscuits, handle the dough as little as possible.
Mix together: flour,powder,salt,soda,butter.
Add yogurt and mix just until combined there should still be a bit of flour left in the bottom of the bowl. Turn dough out onto counter and pat 1" thick. Cut into circles. Place about 3/4 to 1 " from each other on un-greased parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake in oven 7 minutes on top rack, and then 7 minutes on bottom rack.
Enjoy HOT with fresh homemade butter and raw honey.

Your breakfast sounds and looks delicious! We just had a hurried breakfast of apples with peanut butter before rushing out to do our chores this morning. :)
