How to play cut the pie:

Make a huge circle (determine the size by the age and amount of people playing. For younger children have a smaller circle for older children have a bigger circle) in the snow then cut the circle in half by walking straight through the circle. Cut the circle in half again you will have what looks like pie cut into 4 equal pieces. Have the everyone stand stand around the edge of the pie and two people in the center. The two in the center choose who will go on what path. Ex: A will have the path going east/west and B will have the path going north/south they can only stay on their own path and can't run on the circle. one the word "go!" Every one on the circle begins to run around the circle. A and B have to run back and forth on their designated paths. They can not run half way down a path turn around and go the other way they hav to go to the end and then turn around. The people on the circle can run anyway they want to, clockwise, or counter clockwise.

To get caught A must be at one end of his path, and B at one end of his and everyone in between is caught (see drawing). When someone is caught they must stand outside of the circle. The last person that has not been caught is it and they pick someone to be it with them.
